Did you meet the 2007 Challenge?
Sue DeSantis created a great challenge
based on the colors of crayons selected at random from a
paper bag. A few challengers who were up to the test, and
some of
the results are here for your enjoyment...

2007 Guild Challenge
Miami
Valley Quilters' Guild
An Ohio Quilt Guild
for Quilters and Fabric Artists in Southwest Ohio
Each
year members of the Miami Valley Quilters Guild are "challenged"
to undertake a unique quilting project. Following
instructions set by the Challenge chair, members are invited to
create their entry, sometimes involving specific colors or
themes, but always allowing for a variety of techniques and
styles to foster creativity. To complete the Challenge,
members exhibit their quilts at a guild meeting where members of
the group vote on their choices in a variety of categories.
The
Miami Valley Quilters' Guild is more than just a club, we are
a diverse group with more than 200 members from all areas of
interest and all quilting skill
levels. Members include quilters, quilt collectors,
quilting teachers, designers and those simply interested in the
art and craft of quilting. Members of the group have varied
interests: traditional quilts and fabric art - hand piecing and
machine work - long-arm machine quilting, home machine quilting
and, of course, hand quilting.
