A Note from the President
If
all of you had picked up your Stash Busters Challenge for only $2, you would
probably have it done by now. Mine is on the wall and coming together nicely! Susan DeSantis
has come up with a creative concept that offers lots of opportunity to do
something special (see article below).
We’ll
definitely vote on the changes to the by-laws at the March meeting. They’ve
taken up a page of the newsletter for far too long. Speaking of the newsletter,
the board thanked Chris Garcher
for the wonderful job she has done at putting this together month after month.
Each of you might thank her too. We were also grateful to Susan Hill for listing our meeting
programs on the website.
You will notice that the March meeting features
an outside speaker which means there will be a $5 charge for non-members.
If
you want to send in your $20 dues before the meeting, send them to our
membership person Kim Gros,
Please
thank Ed Chamness as well for
his work on the website. In addition to the website, Ed works diligently behind
the scenes on numerous Guild issues. It’s amazing how many tasks must be done
to keep us organized and moving forward.
All this we do for the love of
quilting,
Ron

Stash Busters Challenge
There
is no fabric packet to buy this year for our Challenge in October. A fee of $2
will be charged to defray the cost of instructions that you will receive.
The
Challenge will be to select two crayons at random out of a box which will give
you the two colors you must use. That represents two fabrics. Then you must use
three additional fabrics although there is no upper limit as to number of
fabrics.
The
minimum size is 144 inches perimeter. The maximum size is 264 inches perimeter.
There are more instructions, but that is what you pay the $2 to get!
