Enjoy an Evening of Friendship and Giving
At Our 2006
December is our annual holiday potluck meeting for members
only. Each member is requested to bring a covered dish, a serving utensil and a
drink of their choice. The guild will furnish tableware (paper plates and
plastic utensils).
We are asking for donations of nonperishable food items
(canned meats, fruit, and vegetables and boxed items), diapers, formula,
feminine hygiene products, and soaps (bar, laundry and dish), toothpaste and
paper products. These items will be given to the Fairborn FISH food pantry.
Don’t forget! We will start

A Note from the President
This will be my last letter to the guild.
It’s a funny
thing when you know that doing what you feel is right is going to end the way
it does. Worse still, is knowing that you would do it all over again. That
being said, I wish to tender my resignation as president of the Miami Valley
Quilters’ Guild. My heart is no longer in a place that I feel is good for the
guild.
All along the only thing I have wanted for MVQG is the best.
Being the guild president has been an honor and I thank you for trusting me.
However, I cannot continue to give you my best and I don’t expect you to want
less. I am not angry, just very sad. I wish the guild nothing but the best in
the upcoming years.
Have a very
blessed Christmas season,
A Plea for Volunteers
Help!
In October, I think all of us thought we
had another year of officers voted on and we were set for another year. Not so.
I’m
looking for people to serve on the Nominating Committee. We need to fill the
positions of President, Quilt Show Chairman, Membership Chairman, and
Historian.
Please
think seriously of stepping forward. Our guild cannot run without these
positions filled.
If
you can help with any position, please let me know. Thanks.
